The sean nós winner at Oireachtas Gaeilge Cheanada (26 – 28 June 2015) receives a trip to Ireland to compete in Oireachtas na Gaeilge (27 October – 1 November 2015)
 
INSTRUCTORS
 
Máirín Uí Chéide:
 
Máirín was born in Leitir Móir, Conamara, into a family with a long line of poets and singers.  She won the Corn Uí Riada prior to emigrating to Boston in 1986.   She has taught the Irish language and Sean Nós singing for many years.  She has an Irish language radio show on WNTN, every Saturday, as part of the “Sound of Erin” team.  She has performed before former-President Clinton, as well as various foreign dignitaries.
 
Meaití Jó Shéamuis:
 
Meaití is from Na hAille in Connemara, Co. Galway, and is a well-known and respected figure in music circles throughout this country and further afield.  He is an acclaimed sean-nós singer, and won Corn Uí Riada, the All-Ireland sean-nós competition, in 2001.  He is also a skilled instrumentalist, and plays flute and uilleann pipes.
 
 
Mícheál Newell:
 
Michael Newell is from Ros Muc Connemara, and is currently living in Boston.  He is a two time winner of Corn Mhic Concharraige, the highest distinction for sean nós singing in North America.  He has represented Gaeltacht Thuaisceart an Oileáin Úir at Oireachtas na Gaeilge in Ireland.

Rugadh i  Leitir Móir í, de shliocht fada filí agus amhránaithe.  Bhuaigh sí Corn Uí Riada roimh dhul ar imirce go Bostún i 1986.  Tá sí ag múineadh na Gaeilge agus amhránaíocht ar an Sean Nós le fada.  Tá clár raidió ar WNTN as Gaeilge aici, achan Satharn mar chuid d’fhoireann “Sound of Erin”.  Chan sí amhráin d’Iar-Uachtarán Clinton agus uaisle ón gcoigríoch.

As na hAille i gConamara do Mheaití, amhránaí a bhfuil aithne go forleathan air i measc lucht an cheoil ar fud na hÉireann agus thar lear.  Is fonnadóir den scoth é.  Thug sé Corn Uí Riada leis i 2001.  Lena chois sin is ceoltóir sciliúil é ar an bpíb uilleann agus ar an bhfeadóg mhór.
 
Mícheál Newell:
 
Is as Ros Muc, Conamara é, agus é ina chónaí i mBostún faoi láthair.  Is buaiteoir faoi dhó é do Chorn Mhic Concharraige, an gradam is mó amhránaíochta ar an sean nós i Meiriceá Thuaidh.  Rinne sé ionadaíocht ar Ghaeltacht Thuaisceart an Oileáin Úir ag Oireachtas na Gaeilge in Éirinn.
