Derry Jazz Festival in May

City to be Jazzed Up this May Day Bank Holiday Weekend

8th City of Derry Jazz and Big Band Festival programme launched

Derry City Council celebrated the launch of the programme for the 8th City of Derry Jazz and Big Band Festival at a special event in the City Hotel last week, outlining what is to be expected at this hugely anticipated annual musical extravaganza.

This year's event will run throughout the city's many pubs, clubs and venues from Thursday 30th April - Sunday 3rd May bringing together a jam-packed programme featuring a range of music genres performed by musicians from around the globe.

At the launch, special performances were given by a number of participating groups including local jazz legend Gay McIntyre and his accompanying band, and the David Lyttle Three featuring special guest Soweto Kinch.
